The Shape of Things

Registration at Greene will be in the main building, followed by time to unpack a little, make your bed, greet friends old and new, and maybe even do a puzzle before dinner!

SOCIAL ACTIVITES &
FUN THINGS TO DO

Drawing from his art and advocacy, Julio Salgado will present about the theme "To Be Continued." There is more to say and do, even after the Supreme Court ruling in June 2015.

Time and space will be made for several types of worship on First Day with an invitation for all Friends to explore and engage Spirit as they are called. This may include some outdoor worship if the weather is in our favor!

1

NATURE

With a January average of 59Ëš F (15ËšC) and lots of land to explore, the chances of a nice stroll around the grounds are good!

2

PUZZLES & GAMES

In the spirit of our host Yearly Meeting (SCYM), there will be a table (or two) with jigsaw puzzles and other welcoming games available for Friends to enjoy throughout the weekend.

3

There will be space set aside for folks with musical gifts and a love of song to pick, play, sing, and experiment at (most) hours. Admirers welcome.

PICKERS & PLAYERS: MUSICIANS AND SONG

Our time together will be wonderful, with a variety of activities and choices spread throughout the days. Nature will always be available, both indoors (through many big windows) and outdoors. There will also be a space for musicians to pick and play on any instruments they travel with and for our puzzle-loving friends to dive into a new jigsaw or other table game they delight in. Three meals are presented every day, and there are worship spaces in many varities.

Here's just a handful of highlights: On Friday night, we will enjoy a welcome worship together that includes space for waiting worship and song. On Saturday morning, we will enjoy a keynote from artist Julio Salgado. Both Saturday and Sunday afternoons will feature space for workshops, free time, and meeting for worship with intention to business. Sunday morning will be filled with time to worshipfully engage the ideas of the keynote in small groups or one-on-one with Spirit. Sunday evening will showcase our talented community with a cabaret and auction.

Dinner will be served to start our time together! Registration will remain open while we break bread.

Workshops on three tracks will be offered so Friends can explore the work of heart, head, or hands. (See workshop page for more!) Afterwards, all Friends are encouraged to join meeting for worship with attention to business.

After dinner, we will join together in worship and song and Spirit to bring our community together and create welcome. Afterwards, there will be a newcomer's meeting.

Interested organizations and groups will have time to share their work and purpose with gathered Friends. There will also be a lovely fireside chat to consider our theme more.

Bold! Charming! Unexpected! Vibrant! Pleasantly confusing! These are some of the ways you may describe our bi-annual cabaret and silent auction. A wonderful time, though.
